This added replay value to many of the games on the site. Most new games launched with badges and some older games were updated to include badges. Earned badges could be displayed on your account for others to see. Badges could be earned from completing certain objectives in games on the website. On August 25th, 2010, badges were introduced. Many of the service's games were made available for free on the website throughout 2008-2010, but some never returned. The service was neglected for years until it was discontinued on February 8th, 2008. The price of the games was reduced to $9.95 in 2006 to encourage more usage of the service, but it still remained unpopular. New games stopped being added to the service after 2006. The service was unpopular due to the high price. Users were also offered a free trial for the games, limited to 30 uses before payment is required. This service granted access to exclusive games and additional content for existing games for $19.95. In 2003, Cartoon Network's Powerplay Games service was launched. Megas XLR, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee. Games were also removed occasionally due to becoming incompatible with newer versions of Flash or were themed after certain shows that were off the air for a significant period of time. New games were added to the site regularly. Most of the games ran on the Adobe Flash Player, but a small few ran other game engines, like Adobe Shockwave.
